Workplace First Aid (26551, 26552)

The Comprehensive Work Place First Aid Course is the traditional course for work place first aiders. It includes essential skills of patient care which can be tailored specifically to your industrial or home-type settings and customised to meet the needs of any participant.

Lifesaving First Aid will come to you

We will come into your workplace, home, school or club and provide a complete and concise, practical learning experience personalised to meet the needs of your environment.

Lifesaving First Aid instructors utilise the "hearing, seeing, doing, speaking, and feeling" methodology to create a low-stress learning environment. The "hands-on" practical learning is the backbone of the course and our easy to read and informative take home student materials ensure that every student completes the course with the know-how and confidence to provide practical first aid in any situation.

The Workplace First Aid course also meets all the requirements of NZQA unit standards 26551 and 26552.

These courses cover scene assessment, identification of hazards, medical conditions and how to administer first aid in a range of possible emergencies such as:

  • Shock and bleeding
  • Burns
  • Fractures and soft tissue injuries
  • Poisoning
  • Chest pains e.g. Heart Attack
  • Seizures
  • Asthma
  • Strokes
  • Major incidents

Who should attend?

Anybody wanting a thorough knowledge of first aid and/or those appointed as the designated First aid provider in their workplace. Every workplace should have a qualified first aider.
